So if you’re like me and just learning that “Yacht Rap” is a thing, then welcome to your first introduction to it with Florida-based duo Hurricane Party‘s first single from their upcoming album Juice (dropping July 5th).
Melding pop, soft rock, electronica and hip-hop, the duo create a laid-back, carefree atmosphere with their music that captures the vibe of laying in a hammock poolside at a Miami mansion overlooking the ocean. The video on the other hand, is visually wild blending of cut-out animation (and a dash of anime), filled with dancing kiwis, rooster-headed muscle men, and smoking chimps. It’s hard to take your eyes off it.
