The very first line of Healing Potpourri‘s biography reads that the band wants “to create songs that make you feel good,” and they hit that mark well. Their new full-length, Blanket of Calm, is due out June 12th via Run For Cover Records, and the video for their newest single, “Think About Us,” is out now. I literally felt as though I traveled back through time while watching this music video and listening to the vibes delivered by this song. It has a very chill 70’s vibe, and is like watching old home movies from when I was a kid. It was a nice relaxing escape from current daily stressors. Mission accomplished, Healing Potpourri, as I did feel good while watching this!
FLOOD Magazine called the band’s comforting mission, “…very much needed” and praised their ability to merge styles and sounds saying, ‘the delicate first single ‘Think About Us’ introduces the project’s new pop direction with plenty of the new age and ambient elements still intact.”
